Expected Visitors List For Texas A&M Football This Weekend

The Texas A&M staff will be plenty busy this weekend with a nice crop of 2014 Official Visitors as well as an elite group from the 2015 (and 2016) class in town for the first Junior Day of the new year.

According to Taylor Hamm (@TaylorHamm247) and GigEm247.com the following prospects will be visiting Aggieland this weekend. Follow Hamm for ongoing updates about the weekend.

2014 Official Visitors

With the next-to-final weekend before National Signing Day 2014, the Aggies will again welcome a handful of senior prospects to College Station. As it stands today, the majority of the official visitors will be existing Texas A&M commitments.

Olathe, Kansas four-star offensive lineman Braden Smith is another prospect who will be in town. David Beaty and B.J. Anderson have been recruiting Smith for over a year and he has already tripped to Aggieland twice. Freshly off visits to Notre Dame and most recently Auburn, Smith will follow up this weekend's trip to College Station with an official to TCU. With his sister already enrolled in Fort Worth, the Horned Frogs appear, at the moment, to be in the mix with the Aggies and Tigers. Braden is listed at 6'6" 295 pounds and projects as a tackle or guard. In my opinion, he is better suited for the inside at the next level. Smith is a consensus four-star recruit and is the 63rd overall prospect in the country for 2014 according to the 247Sports.com Composite. The Under Armour All-American will announce his decision live on ESPN on signing day.

Another uncommitted recruit making it into town this weekend is Shreveport, LA safety Donovan Wilson. The three-star prospect has yet to be offered by the Aggies but that could change this weekend with further uncertainty regarding Steven Parker and Mattrell McGraw. Wilson is listed at just under 6'1" 180 pounds and led the state of Louisiana with 13 interceptions as a senior. Utah and TCU have both offered and Wilson will also visit the Horned Frogs next weekend.

2015 Junior Day

The Aggies enter the weekend with five 2015 commitments (1 five-star, 4 four-stars) in Daylon Mack, Rodney Anderson, Jay Bradford, Jordan Davis, and Justin Dunning. Most, if not all, of the current commits will be in town on Sunday. The first Junior Day is invite-only and will be a who's who of Texas high school football players. Expect the #YESSIR hastag to be trending this weekend....
