After a week of Twitter teasers and a Thursday night peek, Texas A&M and Adidas unveiled the Aggies' newest alternate uniform, which will be worn when A&M takes on South Carolina at Kyle Field on Saturday, Oct. 31. This is the first time in the modern era that Texas A&M will not wear a maroon uniform at home.

The uniform features a matte black helmet with a glossy black Texas A&M logo, outlined with the state of Texas. The facemask appears to be black chrome. The jersey is black, and has white numbers with a maroon bevel. The numbers and "TEXAS A&M" wordmark also have slashes through them, a feature Adidas has featured prominently on many of their 2015 uniforms. The stripes on the shoulders and pants are "icy" silver and also have the slashes through them. The cleats are white.
Here's a more detailed description from Adidas:
Centered around an all-black theme for Halloween, the Aggie Nights Primeknit alternate uniform features Texas A&M's "Lone Star Logo" clear-coated seamlessly into the black satin finish of a HydroSkin® helmet from Hydro Graphics Inc. (HGI). This innovative helmet features all-new reflective technology to light up the night. The black jersey and pants are highlighted with silver metallic numbers and stripes with carbon-fiber detailing, while the "Texas A&M" moniker is featured in metallic maroon lettering with carbon-fiber detailing across the chest. Additionally, the Lone Star Logo is also incorporated into the pant stripes, creating a cohesive signature look.
Made with a cutting-edge, proprietary yarn blend that increases durability and abrasion resistance, Primeknit is the premier compression uniform system, featuring the latest generation of adidas TECHFIT technology. Primeknit helps keep players cool and increases range of motion, giving athletes an unrivaled level of comfort and allowing them to perform at their highest levels. The jersey's padlock system secures tension over the shoulder pads, while the bodymap fit adheres to the player, making it difficult for opponents to grab, hold or tackle.
Rounding out the head-to-toe package is the TECHFIT gun show baselayer, featuring an oversized graphic Lone Star Logo on the chest, the adizero 5-Star 4.0 gloves, and the adizero 5-Star 4.0 cleats. The adizero 5-Star 4.0, lighter than any competitor cleat at 8.0 ounces, has a SPRINTSKIN upper with SHOCKWEB reinforcement and a 5-Star frame plate that provides maximum acceleration and multi-directional traction, while the adizero 5-Star 4.0 gloves feature 4-way stretch mesh for compression fit and GripTack 2.0 for consistent control in all weather conditions.
These uniforms will inevitably draw comparisons to the last time the Aggies wore black, which was against Mississippi State in 2012. The color scheme is remarkably similar, right down to the white cleats.
