College football season is over, but the recognition continues to roll in for Texas A&M freshman defensive end Myles Garrett. Most recently, Garrett was named to the first team defense of the Football Writers Association of America (FWAA) Freshman All-America Team. Garrett becomes the fourth Aggie selected for this list in the past five years, joining Luke Joeckel, Damontre Moore and Johnny Manziel, who all now play in the NFL.
In addition to the FWAA team, Garrett has also been named a first team Freshman All-American by ESPN and Athlon Sports, a member of the Southeastern Conference All-Freshman Team, and a second-team defensive AP All-SEC team member.
