The top-ranked Kentucky Wildcats came to College Station and knocked off the Aggies in double overtime. The Aggies had plenty of chances to put this one away, but hey what can we really expect, right?
1. He's shooting well, let's give him a break
This may sound like a broken record, but I absolutely cannot figure out Coach Kennedy's plan for subbing guys in and out of the game. House was on fire, so he got to sit down. Alex Robinson started getting on a roll, so he got to sit down. The combination of that strategy with "if they make one mistake we bench them" is really confusing, and a pretty big confidence killer. And hey, where in the world was Fitzgerald in this game? Did I miss something?
2. Freeeee throwssssssss
16 of 30 from the free throw line at home. Woof. That's just not good, not good at all. I'm done talking about free throws. Shooting 34.8% from the field on your home court also is not good. So yeah.
3. The home court
It was great to hear the crowd noise coming through the broadcast with a full and rowdy Reed Arena for the first time in a long time. There have been some special moments in Reed Arena when it's rocking. Today was almost one of them, but kudos to those in attendance for making Aggie Hoops fans look good on national telev...oh damnit why did you have to do that.
