Latest Coaches Poll: Texas A&M vs. Tennessee will be top 10 matchup

While Texas A&M struggled a bit in getting past South Carolina, the 24-13 win was still enough to give them a boost of three spots in this week’s USA Today Coaches Poll, up to seventh. Tennessee also climbed a couple of spots to ninth after their wild Hail Mary finish against Georgia.

This sets the stage for a huge matchup between Texas A&M and Tennessee this weekend, the only two unbeaten SEC teams apart from #1 Alabama. The Aggies have hosted two top-ten matchups since joining the SEC: both times Alabama has come to town, Texas A&M has been ranked 9th or higher. The last time a top ten game not featuring Alabama happened at Kyle Field was #8 Texas A&M hosting #7 Oklahoma State in 2011.
