After a long week full of internet ticket drama and the resultant chest-thumping, it's time to finally play some baseball, y'all. Our #6 Texas Aggies will take on #4 TCU in game 1 of the Fort Worth Super Regional best-of-three series beginning this afternoon. Here's a quick snapshot of what to look for today:
What time?
2 P.M. TEXAS TIME
What channel?
ESPN. The main one. The Uno. Dave Neal, Kyle Peterson, and Chris Burke will be on the call.
Who's on the mound?
For the Ags, expect Grayson Long. He'll be out for his tenth win of the season, and coming off several days of much-needed rest after a frantic Regional in College Station. Our pals over at Frogs O' War are predicting Mitchell Traver will take the mound for TCU. You can get a load of his resume here.
What else to expect?
I'm no baseball expert so I won't even pretend to make any predictions like JZ does, but with the way both teams have been playing over the last few games I think there's a good chance at a barn-burner and plenty of drama. Throw in the bad blood that's been brewing and a long history of being SWC foes and this should be a treat of a series. (The Ags lead the all-time head-to-head meetings 160-88-4, by the way.)
