HAPPY BIRTHDAY, TEXAS. This slideshow from the Austin-American Statesman celebrates Texas Independence with Pirates, empty streets, and a Journey/Steve Miller Band poster. Way to pull out the stops. You don't turn 179 every year.
SPRING IS IN THE AIR. The Ags kick off spring practice today and uncertainties abound. Brent Z pops his five top five questions here. Will Kyle Allen move to safety? Will DeVante Harris take over kicking duties? None of these questions and more will be answered soon.
UN-DE-FEA-TED. Aggie Baseball completed the sweep of Dartmouth with an 8-1 win yesterday. The stickballers are now unvanquished at 12-0 on the young season and will look to dispatch Dallas Baptist at home tomorrow night before heading to Minute Maid Park this weekend for the Astros College Classic.
OUCH. WBB dropped an ugly one to LSU on the road and fell to a fifth seed in the SEC tournament, meaning they only get one bye instead of two for the first time in a few years. They'll start the conference tournament play on Thursday in Little Rock, taking on the winner of the Florida-Auburn game.
Can you feel it getting down to the wire? #SECBasketballFever is nearly over, for the regular season at least, and with everyone on the home stretch and two more games your Ags are alone in third place behind Kentucky and Arkansas with an 11-5 conference mark. They'll go on the road to take on Florida tomorrow and will host Alabama at Reed on Saturday in the season finale. Team Speed Kills breaks it down.
Be good to one another and have a something something Monday.
