Week 6 College Football TV Schedule

Here's your viewing guide for this weekend's action.

Christopher Hanewinckel-USA TODAY Sports

The first weekend in October features plenty of outstanding conference matchups, including right here in the SEC West with a trio of ranked games. You can call it "Separation Saturday" or whatever other clever nicknames you can imagine, but we just call it "good football-watchin'."

The action gets going Thursday with Kevin Sumlin's former squad in Houston hosting 2013 BCS crashers UCF in the early game. Then at 9:00 we'll get some nice West Coast wide-open football with Arizona taking on Oregon at Autzen. Marcus Mariota is currently the Heisman favorite, and he's the only show on late-nite TV Thursday. Friday night features Tim DeRuyter's Fresno State team again vs SDSU as well as #18 BYU hosting the Utah State Aggies. Also Louisville-Syracuse if you're into that kind of thing.

SEC play kicks off pretty early with.... us. 11:00 AM on Saturday on ESPN. Bama-Ole Miss is the CBS game at 2:30, and Auburn hosts LSU at 6:00 back on ESPN. If you survive that gauntlet, you can watch Mike Leach's WSU team host Cal or the recently-awakened #8 UCLA Bruins host Utah until 1AM Sunday. Another former A&M assistant, Brian Polian, will coach his Nevada Wolfpack as they host Boise State in the nightcap as well.

Keep an eye out for the GBH WATCHLIST later today to find out which ones we'll be watching. All times are CENTRAL, as they should be. Happy Footballing!
