Wednesday morning saw Texas A&M TE Jake Johnson enter the portal, and the lunch hour saw two more Aggies appearing to look elsewhere: DE Fadil Diggs and OL Chase Bisontis. It’s no surprise that both of these come after it was announced that their respective position coaches, OL Coach Steve Adazzio and DL Coach Elijah Robinson, would not return in 2024.

Bisontis started all 12 games at right tackle in place of the injured Reuben Fatheree. While the Aggies were very high on his potential, he did struggle at times this season (as did the entire offensive line). He has three years of eligibility remaining.

Diggs, on the other hand, has been a starter for the past two years (barring a few missed games due to injury). Over 20 games in 2022-23, he totaled 75 tackles, 18.5 tackles for loss, eight sacks and three forced fumbles. Diggs has one year of eligibility remaining.

This makes a total of 11 Aggies in the transfer portal, with Bistontis and Diggs joining DT Walter Nolen, Micah and LT Overton, TE Jake Johnson and QB Max Johnson, WR Ramond Cottrell. S Jardin Gilbert and O-Linemen Remington Strickland and Jordan Moko.
