Mike Elko’s 2024 Texas A&M coaching staff seems to be rounding into form, as TexAgs’ Billy Liucci has reported that the Aggies have hired former Auburn/Florida assistant Wesley McGriff as DB Coach.

McGriff returned to Auburn for his third stint on The Plains under new coach Hugh Freeze, but stepped away earlier this year due to a personal matter. He also has previous coaching stops at Louisville Florida, Vanderbilt, Miami, and Ole Miss (as DC), as well as an NFL gig with the New Orleans Saints. Safe to say, he has a wealth of experience in the college game, and particularly recruiting in the SEC.

It appears that the only remaining spots on Elko’s staff is another defensive assistant (assumed to be Tony Jerrod-Eddie) and a WR coach (completely unknown who that might be).

Current Coaching Staff:

  • Offensive Coordinator/QB Coach: Collin Klein (Kansas State)
