Bowl destinations across college football were announced on Sunday, and for the first time since the 2020 season, Texas A&M is poised to play in one. The Aggies will travel to Houston to take on No. 20 Oklahoma State in the TaxAct Texas Bowl.
If that matchup sounds familiar, it’s because it’s the same one the Ags had the last time they went to the Texas Bowl in 2019, also following a 7-5 season.
It will be an interesting game for the Aggies, as the team is coached by an interim staff that has already suffered some attrition, and played by a roster that that will likely suffer some further attrition via the transfer portal in the coming weeks. It will be fun, but won’t tell us much about the future direction of this program.
