Four-star DL Kendall Jackson flips from Miami to Texas A&M

Looks like Coach Chaos got his first Aggie commit

We finally have the first high school commit of the Mike Elko era at Texas A&M, and much like under the previous regime, the Aggies have added another blue chip defensive lineman. This time, it’s Gainesville, FL defensive lineman Kendall Jackson, who announced on Tuesday that he is flipping is commitment from Miami to A&M.

Jackson was originally committed to Florida (under then DL Coach Sean Spencer), who is now the DL Coach in Aggieland. Jackson decommitted from the Gators on Dec. 2 and committed to the Hurricanes on Dec. 9, but it seems there was interest on both sides for him to follow his position coach to College Station.

A composite four-star recruit, Jackson is rated as the No. 409 player in the country, the No. 45 defensive lineman and the No. 53 player in Florida. With his commitment, the Aggies’ 2024 high school recruiting class moves from No. 21 to No. 19 in the 247 Team Rankings, and remains No. 5 when ranked by average rating per recruit.
