Purdue transfer TE Garrett Miller commits to Texas A&M

Aggies get their portal TE

Texas A&M appeared to be in the market for a blocking tight end via the transfer portal, and on Tuesday they appear to have gotten their man, as Purdue transfer Garrett Miller committed to the Aggies.

Miller went to high school in Round Rock, and originally committed to the Boilermakers as a part of the 2019 recruiting class. Thanks to a redshirt year (2019), a COVID year (2020) and a medical redshirt (2023), he should have two years of eligibility remaining. When he last saw the field in 2022, he caught 30 passes for 243 yards and two touchdowns, but at 6’5” and 250 pounds, the Aggies likely view him as more of a blocking tight end than a pass catcher.
