NCAA Football: Alabama at Texas A&M Troy Taormina-USA TODAY Sports

We’ve known who Texas A&M’s 2024 opponents will be for a while, and we learned recently when the Aggies would face the Longhorns. But on Wednesday night, we finally found out the full schedule for Mike Elko’s first season as the head man in Aggieland.

2024 Texas A&M football schedule

  • Aug 31: Notre Dame (College Station, TX)
  • Sept. 7: McNeese State (College Station, TX)
  • Sept. 14: at Florida (Gainesville, FL)
  • Sept. 21: Bowling Green (College Station, TX)
  • Sept. 28: Arkansas (Arlington, TX)
  • Oct. 5: Missouri (College Station, TX)
  • Oct. 12: BYE
  • Oct., 19: at Mississippi State (Starkville MS)
  • Oct. 26: LSU (College Station, TX)
  • Nov. 2: at South Carolina (Columbia, SC)
  • Nov. 9: BYE
  • Nov. 16: New Mexico State (College Station, TX)
  • Nov. 23: at Auburn (Auburn, AL)
  • Nov. 30: Texas (College Station, TX)

Notables

  • Hosting Notre Dame is a heck of a way to kick off the Mike Elko era. We have an opportunity to learn right off the bad what this team will be made of.
  • While the Aggies only have one set of consecutive home games (in Weeks 1 and 2), they also have no weeks with consecutive road games.
  • This is the last year of the contract for Texas A&M and Arkansas to be played at AT&T Stadium in Arlington. All indications are that the game will return to the respective campuses going forward.
  • As odd as it is, the Aggies will not play either Ole Miss or Alabama, as the SEC moves to a division-less format with the addition of Texas and Oklahoma.
  • Speaking of Texas, the Aggies and Longhorns will resume their rivalry on Nov. 30 after a 13-year hiatus.
