To the surprise of nobody, Texas A&M’s All-American linebacker Edgerrin Cooper decared for the 2024 NFL Draft on Sunday, foregoing his final year of college eligibility.

Cooper is rated as one of the top draft-eligible linebackers in this year’s class, so it should not come as a shock that he is taking advantage and striking while the iron is hot to get to the next level. He finished 2023 with career-high totals in tackles (84), tackles for loss (17) sacks (8) and forced fumbles (2).

Gig ‘em and good luck, Edgerrin!
