With the regular season complete, we’ve officially entered transfer portal season, and Texas A&M had another entry on Thursday as offensive lineman Remington Strickland announced his portal entry.

Strickland committed to the Aggies in December 2020 as a part of the 2021 signing class out of Fort Bend Christian Academy. He was a three-star recruit who was ranked as the No. 413 recruit nationally, the No. 27 interior offensive lineman and the No. 59 player in Texas. He redshirted during his first year on campus in 2021, then saw action in nine games over the past two seasons, but not any starts. Primarily viewed as a center, Strickland played behind Bryce Foster and Matthew Wykoff in 2022, and also saw second year player Mark Nabou seemingly pass him on the depth chart in 2023. Though he did see spot duty at guard.

This is the third player to enter the portal for A&M, joining WR Raymond Cottrell and QB Max Johnson (who has already announced his commitment to North Carolina). Strickland has two years of eligibility remaining.
