Aggies in the NFL: Myles Garret is an alien

NFL Ags look good even with no Myles Garrett or Mike Evans

As has been the case all year, several Texas A&M Aggies did big things in NFL games this weekend. But let’s be honest, today was the Myles Garrett show. Let’s get to it.

Myles Garrett (CLE)

Garrett had two sacks on Sunday against the Colts, keeping him just 0.5 sacks off the league lead. That stat feels almost normal at this point. But his day came down to two plays where a defensive player affected the game more than they rightfully should.

The first came early in the second quarter as the Colts lined up for a long field goal. Instead, Garrett LEAPS OVER THE LINE and blocks the kick with ease. Simply incredible athleticism.

The second came just before halftime with the Browns down four and the Colts backed up against their own goal line. Despite getting blocked by two players, Garrett gets a strip sack on Gardner Minshew that results in a touchdown for the Browns.

Garrett had two sacks, two forced fumbles, six tackles and a blocked field goal IN THE FIRST HALF! Unreal.

Mike Evans (TB)

Another day, another Mike Evans touchdown. The Bucs may have come up short, but it wasn’t Mike’s fault, as he caught six passes for 82 yards and a touchdown, highlighted by this 40-yarder.

Christian Kirk (JAX)

It may have happened on Thursday, but don’t forget about what Christian Kirk did this week. He caught six passes for 90 yards, none more important than this 44-yard TD catch and run with three minutes to go that was the deciding touchdown.

Dante Hall (KC)

It’s been quite a while since Hall suited up, but he returned to Kansas City this weekend as he was inducted into the Chiefs Hall of Fame.
