2022-23 looks to be a pivotal one for the Texas A&M basketball program, with Buzz Williams and company looking to improve upon their run to the Conference Tournament and NIT Finals appearances in 2021. On Wednesday, we learned what conference opponents the Aggies will face along the way, as the SEC released the list of opponents (home and road) for each of the 14 member institutions.

The Aggies’ 9-game home and road slates will be as follows:
HOME:
- Alabama
- Arkansas
- Auburn
- Florida
- Georgia
- LSU
- Missouri
- Tennessee
- Vanderbilt
ROAD:
- Arkansas
- Auburn
- Florida
- Kentucky
- LSU
- Ole Miss
- Mississippi State
- Missouri
- South Carolina
That means the five teams the Aggies will play twice this season are Arkansas, Auburn, Florida, LSU and Missouri. The Hogs and Tigers should be very good yet again, but overall that is manageable. Only facing Tennessee and Kentucky once each (and getting Tennessee at home) is a blessing. Let’s see if A&M can take advantage of it in search of their first NCAA Tournament berth since 2018.
