Texas A&M fell just short of the National Championship Series, but still had almost certainly the most successful season in program history. That success was reflected in the final college baseball rankings released Monday, with the Aggies coming in at No. 3 in both the D1 Baseball Top 25 and the Baseball America Top 25. A&M finished No. 4 in the USA Today Coaches Poll. In each of the polls, Texas was the lowest-ranked team among the eight who made the College World Series.

That is the highest finish ever for the Texas A&M baseball program. Hard to overstate how important that is in only year one of the Jim Schlossnagle era, with tons of optimism for the future. Expect this team to be one of the favorites in the SEC, if not the country, in 2023.
