Time, TV announced for first three Texas A&M football games

100 DAYS!

NCAA Football: Miami at Duke Jaylynn Nash-USA TODAY Sports

We’re now only 100 days away from the 2022 Texas A&M football season, and as it draws ever closer, we’re starting to find out more and more details about the upcoming schedule. Today, kickoff times and TV networks for the Aggies’ first three games (all at Kyle Field) were announced:

Sept. 3: Sam Houston State

  • 11 a.m., SEC Network

Sept. 10: Appalachian State

  • 2:30 p.m., ESPN2

Sept. 17: Miami

  • 8 p.m., ESPN

Hard to complain about the first two timeslots, because when you play two Group of Five teams to start the year, you live with the TV/kickoff time consequences. But that time slot for the Miami Hurricanes game? Chef’s kiss. A&M will likely be a top 10 team, and with The U opening their season with Bethune-Cookman and Southern Miss, this will almost certainly be a matchup of two undefeated teams. There’s no better setting for that matchup than at night (8 p.m. so like actual night) under the lights at Kyle Field in front of a fully lubricated (and fully shaded) 12th Man.
