UPDATE: This game was postponed from Wednesday afternoon, to Wednesday night, to Thursday morning, and now postponed even further, all due to inclement weather. It will be played at some point...we think.

The SEC Baseball Tournament got off to a rainy start on Tuesday, which will likely continue today. After a first round bye, No. 2 seed Texas A&M is scheduled to take on the No. 7 Florida Gators at 4:30 p.m. today in Hoover, Alabama. However that start time is subject to earlier games finishing on time and the weather cooperating.

The Gators advanced after a 2-1 win over South Carolina, which eliminated the Gamecocks from the tournament, but starting today, the rest of the tournament is double elimination. The winner of A&M/Florida will move on to face the winner of Arkansas/Alabama on Thursday, while the loser will move into an elimination matchup with the loser of Arkansas/Alabama.

Regardless of this tournament’s results, the Ags are virtually assured of hosting an NCAA Regional, and are in play to also be a national seed and host a Super Regional should they advance.
