Looks like a lot of our problems are related to lack of experience, so where are all the upperclassmen? I couldn't find this answer consolidated in one spot, so I went looking and made a table (below) b/c work is slow this week. Between the 2018 (Redshirt SRs) and 2020 classes, we had a lot of guys I thought would still be contributing today. Currently there's only 12-14 actually on the two deep now (depending on who's hurt).

2018: #16 class. 23 commitments. 2 still playing (Preston & Wright, who's been hurt a lot). 4 Graduated/NFL. 4 medical retirements. 13 transfers but only 4 play at FBS teams. Basically, only 10/23 commits contributed to any FBS team from this class.

2019: #4 class. 27 commitments. 12 still playing (2 out w/ injuries). 4 NFL. 2 medical retirements. 8 transfers but only 1 plays at FBS school (Cupp @ tech). Only 17/27 commitments contributed to any FBS team from this class.

2020: #6 class. 24 commitments. 17 still playing (3 out w/ injuries). 3 medical retirements. 6 transfers, only 1 plays (Hubbard @ Temple). Only 18/24 commitments contributed to any FBS team from this class.

Some questions I have:

• 9 medical retirements from these three classes. Is that normal? Seems excessive. Of those 9, 5 were OL. I imagine if a few of them ever played, our OL the last two years would be a lot better.
• 58% hit rate on those three classes combined in terms of actual contributions at the FBS level (any team). Is that an abnormally low hit rate? Looks like the 2021 class has a much higher hit rate.
