HIGHLIGHTS: Texas A&M vs. Kent State

Re-living the beset moments of the Aggies’ 41-10 win

Texas A&M’s first game of the 2021 season wasn’t without its hiccups (cough four INTs cough), but ultimately the Aggies turned a game that was surprisingly close at the half (10-3) into a convincing 41-10 win, covering the spread with absolutely zero drama and suffering no significant injuries before they take on their first Power 5 team of the 2021 campaign - Colorado - next week in Denver. In particular, QB Haynes King will look to improve upon his first performance which, while marred by interceptions, showed a solid completion percentage, good pocket presence and a solid command of the offense. It will also be interesting to see if A&M gains any of the several defensive starters back who were out for this game, either due to suspensions (McKinnley Jackson, Michael Clemons) or injury (Myles Jones).

Take a look at the highlights above to re-live this season-opening win, including a 60-yard TD run by RB Devon Achane and a pick six by senior safety Leon O’Neal (his second INT of the day, just moments after he was called for a laughable targeting/late hit penalty).
