Texas A&M Punter Nik Constantinou thankfully was not nearly as busy against New Mexico as he was against the Colorado Buffaloes seven days earlier, but he still did enough to be named the SEC’s Special Teams Player of the Week.

If we’re being honest this feels like a makeup call for snubbing Nik last week when he punted EIGHT times for an average of 49 yards in a game with razor-thin margins. Constantinou punted four times this past weekend in a 34-0 victory over the Lobos, averaging 45.5 yards per punt, putting three of the four punts inside the New Mexico 10 yard line.
On the season, Constantinou has 12 punts and is averaging 47.83 yards per punt, which is No. 13 in the country. He is also the holder on field goal tries, making Nik extra special to his team. Here’s hoping we don’t hear his name called this Saturday against Arkansas.
