Texas A&M’s defense was the star of the show on Saturday, especially in the second half, in a gritty 10-7 win over the Colorado Buffaloes. And deservedly so, Aggie defensive tackle Jadyen Peevy was named the Southeastern Conference’s Defensive Lineman of the Week.

Peevy did much more than just clog up the middle of the line. He had seven tackles, (five solo) including two tackles for loss, as well as a pass deflection and an interception. On a day when the entire A&M defense deserved a game ball, he was the perhaps the biggest bright spot. Especially in the absence of sophomore McKinnley Jackson, the fact that Peevy returned for his senior season has been instrumental in anchoring this A&M defensive line.
