One more of the countdown to football season boxes has officially been checked, as the Associated Press released their preseason Top 25 poll on Monday. As expected, Texas A&M is ranked highly, coming in at No. 6. They were also ranked No. 6 in the Coaches Poll released last week.

This is the highest A&M has been ranked in an AP preseason poll since they began the 1995 season ranked No. 3. The Aggies are one of five SEC teams ranked in the poll, joining Alabama (1), Georgia (5), Florida (13) and LSU (16).
