SEC Media Days will return as an in-person event for the first time in two years, taking place July 19-22 in Hoover, Alabama, and we learned today when the Aggies (and which Aggies) will take the podium. Texas A&M will be featured on day three (July 21) along with Alabama, Mississippi State and Vanderbilt, and along with head coach Jimbo Fisher will be two of A&M’s preseason All-Americans in LT Kenyon Green and DE Demarvin Leal.
Coming Wednesday, July 21 to @SECNetwork:

Given that Jimbo has built A&M’s identify (both on the field and on the recruiting trail) in the trenches, it’s fitting that the two players he’s bringing to Hoover are linemen. But this isn’t just throwing a bone to the big boys. Both Green and Leal are former five star recruits, and both are projected to be first round picks in the 2023 NFL Draft.
SEC Media Days, for many, are the unofficial start of college football season. Sure, the games are still weeks away, but coaches and players are talking, reporters are writing and preseason polls and awards watch lists are happening. The coffee may not be ready to drink, or even dripping into the pot, but we’re pouring the water in the carafe and scooping the coffee grounds out of the can. It’s happening soon folks.
