After months of silence regarding the 2020-21 College Basketball season, it appears the first piece of tangible news has dropped — our preseason tournament (The Battle 4 Atlantis) has been relocated from The Bahamas... to South Dakota.
Sources: The 2020 Battle 4 Atlantis will be played at the Sanford Pentagon in South Dakota. Dates are TBD.

Field includes Duke, West Virginia, Memphis, Ohio State, Texas A&M, Utah, Creighton, and Wichita State.
Jon reporting this is done; I was told a call was held this morning w/ reps from each school and the Atlantis organizers.

The Bahamas—>SD jokes inevitable, but this "bubble" site is connected to Sanford Health, which has successfully run COVID testing for the PGA Tour since May https://t.co/zSjwsONB8I
This is A&M’s second appearance in the Battle 4 Atlantis, as we defeated Texas and Gonzaga en route to a runner-up finish in 2015. This year’s field is similarly stacked, and will surely provide a much-needed early season test.

Additional hoops news is expected to drop relatively soon, as chatter about a “November 21 start date” has started to heat up. As soon as we hear something Aggie Hoops related, we’ll pass it along.
