Florida, Tennessee added to Texas A&M’s 2020 schedule

At least we’re less miserable than Mizzou

We learned last week that the SEC would go to a 10-game, conference-only schedule, and today we finally learned who those additional two opponents would be. In addition to their existing schedule of Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn, LSU, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, South Carolina and Vanderbilt, the Aggies will also face the Florida Gators at Kyle Field and make their first trip to Knoxville since joining the SEC to take on the Tennessee Volunteers.

These were the opponents that were originally rumored last week, as they are the SEC opponents that A&M was already scheduled to face in 2021 and 2022.

Adding Florida and Tennessee, two of the top teams in the SEC East, to an already demanding schedule certainly adds an extra degree of difficulty to what A&M hopes can be a big season. But in Vanderbilt and South Carolina they also play two of the teams who finished at the bottom of the East in 2019. That said, it’s unfortunate when you see that LSU added Mizzou and Vandy while Alabama added Kentucky and Mizzou (T&P for Mizzou for having to face them both!).

You can view the rest of the additional SEC opponents below. We do not yet have dates and destinations for these games, but the full schedule is rumored to release next week.
