A&M snags commitment from the #1 player in Oklahoma

Suck it, Sooners

The college football season may now be a few weeks farther away than it was just a couple days ago, but recruiting continues to roll on, and Texas A&M snagged a big piece of their 2021 class with the commitment of four-star safety Kendal Daniels from Beggs, OK.

Daniels is the #1 recruit from the state of Oklahoma, and was also heavily recruited by the Sooners. Any time you can pry the Sooner State’s top player away from OU, that is nothing but an unmitigated success. Daniels is also the #5 safety in the country and the #139 player overall nationally. He stands 6’4”, weight 190 pounds, and also holds scholarship offers from Alabama, Auburn, Clemson, Georgia and Notre Dame, among many others.

The Aggies now have 13 commits in the 2021 recruiting class, which currently ranks 15th in the country. Notably, seven of those 13 players are from outside the Lone Start State, and includes the #1 players from Oklahoma (Daniels) and Arkansas (CB Dreyden Northwood) and the #2 players in Colorado (OT Trey Zuhn) and New Jersey (DE Jahzion Harris).

Daniels is the first safety in A&M’s 2021 class.
