The floodgates of 2021 recruiting have seemingly opened, as the Texas A&M Aggies now have their fourth commit in just over a week. This time it’s 6’5”, 244-pound tight end Fernando Garza, a three-star recruit from Texas High School Football powerhouse Katy. He also plans to play baseball for the Aggies.

Garza chose the Aggies over offers from Michigan State, Virginia Tech, Virginia, Arizona, Colorado, Iowa State and Kansas. He is currently rated as the #34 tight end in the country, the #102 recruit in Texas and the #737 recruit nationally. He’s set to join a loaded tight end room that will include Jalen Wydermyer, Baylor Cupp and 2020 recruit Blake Smith.
The Aggies now have seven commits in the 2021 recruiting class, which has risen to #21 in the national rankings despite still having a relatively low number of total commits.
