In our quarantine-induced malaise, you might have forgotten that college football was a thing. Well it’s a thing and we did that thing! On Tuesday, the Aggies secured a commitment from Jahzion Harris, a four-star linebacker from noted Texas A&M recruiting hotbed Brooklyn, NY.
I want to first thank my parents, family, coaches and mentors who’s been actively a positive influence in my life ... as a family we decided that the best place for us is Texas A&M to reach my full potential as a man, student, and a athlete ...— Jahzion Harris (@JahzionHarris) April 28, 2020

Harris is the #2 player in the state of New York, the #14 weakside defensive end in the country and the #208 player in the 247 Sports Composite Ranking. He chose A&M over a slew of over Power 5 offers, including Ohio State, LSU, Oklahoma and Penn State.
The Aggies have only four commits so far in the 2021 recruiting class, but all of them hold a four star rating and are ranked among the top 300 recruits in the country. Harris is A&M’s first defensive commit in the class.
