HAPPY FRIDAY, NETHEADS.
Just a really quick catch-up this morning, lest you all think we’d given up on the squeakyfouls.
It’s been a rough week for #HashtagTeamCoachBuzz. After an incredible hot streak, the crew is back down below .500 in SEC play after dropping two straight to South Carolina and Florida. The Ags were neck-and-neck with the Gators, trailing by three at halftime, before going cold and letting Mike White’s squad get molten over the back half of the game. Folks, we haven’t seen a gator languishing this comfortably in an entity named “Reed” since Guitar Man Jerry penned his hit tune “Amos Moses” in 1970 OK? The Ags will face second-to-last-place-in-the-SEC Georgia tomorrow.
It’s not all severed limbs and missing persons, though. After dropping a pair of close road games to LSU and #8 Mississippi State, WBB bounced back with a 21-point pasting of Vanderbilt last night. Although not in attendance, let me assume that the disco balls were flashing vibrantly as these Commodores turned Reed Arena into yet another Brick House. Who said seventies music is awful? These analogies practically write themselves. Blair’s #16 team squares off Sunday with #25 Tennessee in a ranked matchup.
Have a fun Valentine’s day, everyone.
