Less than a week after falling 8 spots in the AP Top 25 and 7 spots in the USA Today Coaches Poll, Texas A&M rose 10 spots in the former and 9 spots in the latter to reach the #11 spot following their 41-28 victory over the Florida Gators on Saturday. Despite the victory, Florida is still ranked higher (#10, #9) in both polls.

Volatility has been the name of the game with early-season polls, even more than usual. LSU, Oklahoma and Texas were all ranked in the top 10 just a couple of weeks ago, and suddenly all three find themselves unranked. You also have the strange phenomenon of Big Ten and Pac 12 teams that continue to hold high spots in the rankings despite being weeks away from playing their first game. 2020 is weird, y’all.

Based on the current polls, the Aggies will not face another ranked opponent until they travel to Knoxville on Nov. 14 to take on the Tennessee Volunteers.
