Top of this fine Friday morning to all! In lieu of our very popular Minute Bull, we’re going retro this morning with a good ol’ analog DAILY BULL. Buckle up, compadres.
ESPN, SHOVEL THIS DELICIOUS PIECE RIGHT INTO MY GREEDY PIEHOLE
The WWL and noted Texas Longhorn bias-havers dropped a juicy little offseason rivalry treat for us:
It's been the most eventful year in Horns Down history. But is that even necessarily bad for Texas? Here's a little history from @Barry_Switzer, @CBSCoachNutt, @thrill333, @CoachDykesSMU, @thEMANacho, sports psychologists, the pork rinds guy, and more.https://t.co/J6nQmQtnif— Dave Wilson (@dwil) July 12, 2019
BONUS: Houston Nutt on learning the horns-down at age 6, and another newsbreaking tweet from our Ole Miss pal Bunkie Perkins. (All you Business Heroes, be sure to tell us how much you don’t care in the comments section.)
TOP TENZZ ALL SUMMER
It’s July, i.e., LIST SEASON. Here’s one of the top ten SEC games in 2019. SPOILER: A&M’s in there twice. Turns out playing both teams from the national championship game builds excitement. Who knew? Some other under-the-radar gems include UGA vs. Notre Dame and Auburn vs. Oregon. Hurry up and master time travel, mad scientists.
!!VERY SERIOUS EVENT NEXT WEEK, STAY TUNED!!
On Monday, that most hallowed of Sporting Traditions commences: thousands of earnest sportswriters shall gather back once again in the luxuriant halls of the Hyatt Regency Birmingham - Wynfrey Hotel. They will hand-write their cribsheets. They will eagerly tweet hundreds of quotes by coaches, even as those speeches are being aired nationwide. They will collect swag and bask in the pinnacle of SEC football journalism. They might be able to actually speak to a few players, but only for a very limited time and about a limited number of things. After all, this isn’t about them. It’s about the #Media. Full schedule to be found here.
Will you tune in to watch any of this year’s SEC Media Days?
