The Texas A&M Aggies narrowly missed out on hosting a NCAA baseball regional in College Station following an early exit in the SEC Tournament, and today learned their first weekend destination. The Ags will travel travel to Morgantown, West Virginia as the second seed, taking on third-seeded Duke in the first round at 3 p.m. Friday. Four seed Fordham rounds out the regional field.
Duke finished the year at 31-25 (15-15), tied for the seventh-best record in the ACC.

This is the third season in a row that the Aggies have failed to host a regional (which is awarded to the top 16 teams in the tournament field). If A&M does manage to advance out of the regional, they face a potential Super Regional matchup against SEC champion Vanderbilt and the dreaded whistler.
