The long rumored hire finally came to fruition today, as multiple reports confirmed that Buzz Williams is about to be named Texas A&M Basketball’s next head coach.

It’s tough for me to say “I’m shocked,” because this move has been all but confirmed for quite some time. But still, y’all… we did it. For the first time in program history, we went out and grabbed a proven winner at the Power Five level.
For the hoops enthusiasts among us, it represents the one thing we’ve always wanted from this University: to apply the same drive, desire, and financial commitment that has typically been reserved only for the football program.
We’ll roll out additional pieces to cover his history and what the program might look like moving forward, but we had to drop this one quickly to cover the most important piece of all.
