In last weekend’s sweep of Kentucky, the Aggie Baseballers utilized a rejuvenated offense to finally give their outstanding pitching staff some support. The Ags continued their hot streak on offense in their midweek tussle with Lamar, winning 10-7. In that one, three players tallied multiple RBIs, highlighted by Hunter Coleman’s four and Braden Shewmake’s three.
This weekend the Aggies welcome Missouri (17-9, 2-4) to Olsen for a three game set. The Tigers drew a tough schedule to open their SEC slate, as they hit the road to Fayetteville to take on then-No. 14 Arkansas and were swept at the hands of the Hogs. Last weekend, however, the Tigers bounced back with a home-series victory over then-No. 18 Ole Miss, so needless to say this Mizzou team has some fight in them.
Missouri is led at the plate by SS Chris Cornelius (slashing .361/.442/.567, 5 HR, 28 RBIs), 2B Mark Vierling (.338/.452/.446, 18 RBIs) and potential-first-round-pick OF Kameron Misner (.286/.463/.505, 6 HR, 18 RBIs, 29 BB).
