Johnny Manziel is once again south of the Maple curtain, having joined the Memphis Express of the Alliance of American Football. He began practicing earlier this week, and will take the field with the team in their game at 7 p.m. this Sunday against the Birmingham Iron (broadcast on NFL Network).
"I know I’m ready for this opportunity.” @JManziel2 was officially introduced as a member of the Express. ✈️

The Express have had difficulty at quarterback, benching initial starter Christian Hackenberg in favor of Zach Mettenberger, who then suffered an injury and gave way to Brandon Silvers. It seems like an opportunity for Manziel to come in and challenge for playing time pretty quickly once he is comfortable with the system, but with only four games left in the team’s season, he better do something quickly.
Here’s hoping we get to see some more Johnny Football magic in the coming weeks.
