A year ago, Texas A&M made waves by signing the top junior college cornerback in the country in Elijah Blades. Blades went on to be a difference-maker on a vastly improved A&M secondary in 2019, and Jimbo Fisher appears to be going back to the JUCO corner well, securing a commitment from four-star Highland Community College product Brian George.

George was rumored to be an Auburn lean as recently as a few days ago, but as often happens in recruiting, momentum swing quickly, this time in A&M’s favor. Standing at 6’2” and 190 pounds, George is rated as the #5 JUCO prospect in the country, the #2 JUCO cornerback and the #2 JUCO prospect in the state of Florida. In addition to A&M and Auburn, he also held scholarship offers from eight other SEC schools, including Alabama, Florida and Georgia.
With the early signing period beginning tomorrow, A&M currently sits at 22 commits in the 2020 class, ranked fifth nationally and third in the SEC behind Alabama and LSU.
