Texas A&M’s first trip between the hedges since 1980 is only 12 days away (#branding), and we now know when and where this game will air. For the fourth time time this season, A&M will kick off at 2:30, and the game will be broadcast nationally on CBS. It pains me to note that every other A&M loss this season has been a 2:30 kickoff.

Looking at the rest of the SEC schedule, it’s no surprise that CBS picked this game. Five SEC schools are playing cupcake non-conference matchups, leaving the only other conference games as Arkansas at LSU and Tennessee at Missouri. With Georgia ranked in the top 10, and A&M with a good chance of sneaking back into the top 25 with a win over South Carolina this Saturday, picking this game was a no-brainer.
A&M only has one remaining game without a kickoff time and TV network: the regular season finale at LSU on Nov. 30. However, since this is the same day as the Iron Bowl (which seems a sure lock for the 2:30 CBS slot), you’re likely looking at a national ESPN broadcast on Saturday night in Death Valley.
