One day after the Texas A&M Aggies 52-13 blowout win in the TaxSlayer Gator Bowl over NC State, tight end Jace Sternberger has announced that he will forego his final year of eligibility and declare early for the NFL Draft.

Sternberger was a first team All American and led all SEC tight ends in yards per reception as well as total receiving by more than 100 yards, and had three more touchdown catches than any other SEC tight end (his 10 TDs lead all TEs nationally). Even among SEC receivers, only Deebo Samuel (South Carolina) and Jerry Jeudy (Alabama) had more touchdown receptions.

Thanks for everything, Jace. Good luck at the next nevel.
