Rumors swirled on Friday, and on Saturday night, ESPN confirmed it: The College Gameday crew is headed to College Station for Texas A&M vs. Clemson on Saturday, Sept. 8.

Gameday will air from 8 to 11 a.m., and though a specific location has yet to be named, Spence Park has seemingly become their preferred spot.
The show last came to Aggieland in 2016 when A&M improves to 6-0 by taking down undefeated Tennessee in double overtime. They also came for the Aggies’ inaugural SEC game against Florida once 2012 and a game against Oklahoma in 2006, both losses.
In Some Aggie circles you’ll hear people claim we have a jinx of not playing well when Gameday is in town, but that conveniently leaves out all of the times the Ags have lost to top teams in recent years when Herbie, Corso and the gang were elsewhere. The bottom line is big wins at home have been hard to come by lately, and a win over the Tigers, however unlikely, would be a huge one.
