HAPPY FRIDAY. Johnny Manziel will start a game at quarterback tonight. Prepare yourselves and equalize your blood pressure by easing back into it with twelve hours of his greatest shows as an Aggie. Here’s the full day’s schedule from ESPNU.
A GUIDE
6AM: Louisiana Tech 2012
Oh, yeah. This game. This hurricane-rescheduled, giant pile of craziness game. Johnny Manziel turned the ball over, chased the defender down, and forced a fumble in this game. Then that play was called back. And that moment is probably barely in the top ten wooliest plays of this sucker. Bama may have put JF in the Heisman race, but this one put him on the radar.
Auburn 2012
Methodical, clinical 63-21 pasting. Two passing scores and three on the ground for Manziel.
Alabama 2012
Well, y’all know about this one. TIP: travel back in time and indulge in this sermon from Preacher Jim to get your ass fired up.
NOON: Missouri 2012
Remember when Mizzou won the SEC East two straight years? Well, before that they were another version of the current Zombie Mizzou that stumbled to 5-7 their first time out in the conference. John piled up five total TDs in two quarters and change. Yawn.
2PM: Ole Miss 2013
This game sums up the 2013 season nicely: excruciating, terrifying, gratifying, in that order, sometimes repeated. Something like five lead changes in the fourth quarter. Can’t even be certain because looking at the box score for too long gave me the ill humours.
4PM: Duke 2013
Where the legend was cemented.
