Johnny Manziel has had some downtime while he worked through the concussion protocol, and he took some time to sit down (in an ice bath) with comedian Kevin Hart.
If you aren’t familiar with the format (produced by OBB Pictures), Hart sits down with a different athlete every week, and the two slowly sit lower and lower into a tub of ice water over the course of the interview. The two discuss Manziel’s ascent to fame at Texas A&M, his shorti-lived NFL experience in Cleveland and his recovery from addiction and mental health struggles. With any show hosted by Kevin Hart, you get the expected amount of comedic moments, but they also get into some real conversations.
Manziel is expected to take the field again this Friday, Aug. 31, when the Montreal Alouettes go on the road to face the Ottawa Redblacks. There are eight games remaining in 2018 CFL season.
