“I am to wait, though waiting so be hell.”
-William Shakespeare, Sonnet 58.13
To what was The Bard referring? True love? Happiness? Or was it NFL Preseason Football? We’ll never know for sure, but what we do know is that several Ags got their first glimpse of NFL action last night. Here’s a quick-hitter.
- Armani Watts got the preseason start at safety for Kansas City against the Texans. He notched a few tackles and by all accounts he did “okay” which in the NFL could mean anything from barely average to just short of god-like.
- Damion Ratley has fought back from injury earlier in training camp and had one catch for 14 yards last night. Teammate Avery Gennesy got some time at guard as well.
Yoakum’s Damion Ratley with his first NFL catch on Thursday for the Cleveland Browns. He finished with one reception for 14 yards against the New York Giants. Catch is at 0:28-0:40. https://t.co/9LvP2EEsib

- Keith Ford had five carries for 20 yards, and two catches for 10 yards for the Bills against the Panthers. To be fair, he’s playing with AJ McCarron who is not great at waking teammates up.
- Joseph Cheek saw action at tackle for the Steelers in their 31-14 win over the Eagles. This is the beginning of a long and storied career for Ol’ Steelcheeks.
Did we miss any? Probably so. Let us know.
