I made one of those obnoxious, preachy TWEET STORM things earlier today in honor of 4/20. Our marketing savant, cuppycup, told me to make it into a GBH post. Happy weed Christmas, hippies.
A couple thoughts about weed on Colorado Christmas...

1) About damn time our magnanimous, parental government overlords are decriminalizing grass. We have many readily available, legal products that cause far more wreckage than weed. Booze and sugar jump to mind.
— Jimmy G (@jimmygards) April 20, 2018
2) Perceptions of weed are funny. Many southern evangelicals imagine the experience of smoking weed to be some dangerous speedball of hallucinating on LSD while mainlining heroin as you waltz *Baylor gasps* with Satan.
— Jimmy G (@jimmygards) April 20, 2018
3) The flip side is this *super evolved* progressive notion that weed is harmless. It's only good for you, mannnnn.
— Jimmy G (@jimmygards) April 20, 2018
4) I grew up with a shit ton of potheads. The most dangerous thing about weed is there is no rock bottom. It can rob you of a whole lot of potential and make you really, really boring.
— Jimmy G (@jimmygards) April 20, 2018
5) Anyone who has been close to alcoholism or hard drug addiction realizes that rock bottom is a damn gift. Rock bottom forces you to do something because the alternative is death. Ain't no rock bottom with weed.
— Jimmy G (@jimmygards) April 20, 2018
6) People who are really into weed craft a banal caricature of a lifestyle where everything about them is weed-centric. It's quite dull. Most alcoholics are at least charming and interesting. Potheads just kind of exist. Zombie-like.
— Jimmy G (@jimmygards) April 20, 2018
7) I'm inclined to buy into the medicinal properties of weed especially if the alternatives are hardcore narcotics. It's legal for hospitals to give you morphine (heroin-like) and cocaine and a whole candy jar of addictive shit, but not grass. Hmm.
— Jimmy G (@jimmygards) April 20, 2018
8) To quote "Until there is both political and cultural alignment on how we approach the education of bioactive substances—what they are, what they do, and their benefits and risks—we will remain a confused and frustrated society"
— Jimmy G (@jimmygards) April 20, 2018
9) In summary, weed isn't good or bad... it just is. It can have incredible therapeutic function and it can turn you into a tremendous dullard.
— Jimmy G (@jimmygards) April 20, 2018
10) And a tiny pro tip: when a hippie drifter sells you some grass outside of Red Rocks and passionately warns you of the strain's potency... believe him.

Don't ask me how I know.
