Can Aggie Football win more than 7 games in Jimbo Fisher’s first season?

The over/unders are starting to come in and it looks like Texas A&M is expected to win around 7 games in 2018-19.

NCAA Football: Belk Bowl-Wake Forest vs Texas A&M Jim Dedmon-USA TODAY Sports

Yesterday, BetDSI Sportsbook shared their season win totals for SEC teams. Texas A&M’s over/under was set at 7 games for Jimbo Fisher’s first season. Does this seem low to you? What are your expectations in season one of the era?

On one hand, you might be disappointed if Jimbo Fisher fails to reach the level set by Kevin Sumlin. However, the roster leaves some things to be desired (am I wrong here?) and Jimbo is installing a much different offense. Tight ends, folks. Maybe.

I’m an eternal pre-season pessimist but 7 wins seems like a fair number to me. Let’s take a look at the schedule with my expected result in parenthesis.

vs. Northwestern State (W)

vs. Clemson (L)

vs. Louisiana-Monroe (W)

at Alabama (L)

vs. Arkansas (W)

vs. Kentucky (W)

at South Carolina (W)

at Mississippi State (L)

at Auburn (L)

vs. Ole Miss (L)

vs. UAB (W)

vs. LSU (L)

Uh oh, I got six wins again. Show your projected wins and losses in the comments below and vote for the win total.
