It was admittedly odd of the NCAA to not force a Big XII matchup with two former adversaries (Oklahoma, Texas) on the 10 line... but I suppose I can’t complain.
Providence, A&M's first-round opponent, has the worst KenPom rating of all the No. 10 seeds. Full breakdown:

Oklahoma -- 47
Providence -- 63
And finally, it was a banner year for the SEC. I’ve never been one to champion conference pride, but I’ll be pulling for the SEC across the board this week. There are still a handful of national pundits who don’t quite believe the SEC Hoops renaissance, and it would be nice to silence them with a solid outing on opening weekend.
