Tell me if you’ve heard this before. The Aggies won a signing day battle for a coveted recruit over several SEC rivals. This time it’s three-star tight end Glenn Beal, who chose the Aggies over LSU, Alabama, Arkansas, Ole Miss and Tennessee, among others.

Beal looks to be a key piece in Jimbo Fisher’s offense, which utilizes the tight end position much more than Kevin Sumlin’s did. Beal is the second tight end in the Aggies 2018 class, joining JUCO three-star Jace Sternberger. He’s the 20th overall commit for A&M, and the fifth(!) commit of the day, joining DT Bobby Brown, OG Tank Jenkins, QB James Foster and DE Jeremiah Martin. The Aggies class, which was ranked 35th just 48 hours ago, now sits at 15th in the country according to 247 Sports.
